Joliet Man Jailed For Allegedly Violating Protective Orders Twice in 8 Days

A Joliet man was arrested again on the same charge three days after he bonded out of jail.

A Joliet man bound by court orders to stay away from his ex-wife and children was jailed twice in eight days for allegedly contacting them.

Richard Allen, 66, of 1509 Black Road was most recently locked up Thursday afternoon and remains in custody.

Allen was taken from Presence St. Joseph Medical Center to the Will County jail after a three-day hospital stay for a psychological evaluation, police said.

Allen had gone to the Broadlawn Drive home of his ex-wife and son Sunday evening despite a court order prohibiting him from doing so, police said.

While he was at the residence, Allen threatened to kill himself, police said, prompting officers to take him to the hospital.

Allen was locked up five days before that incident for allegedly violating a protective order. He posted 10 percent of his $10,000 bond and was released after two days in jail.
