Paul Briese Obituary

Paul Edward Briese, age 87, passed away Sunday August 12, 2012 at Emeritus Senior Living. Survived by one son, Fred (Dale) Briese of Florida; one daughter, Sally (Scott) Anderson of Texas; granddaughter, Jessica Anderson of Texas. Preceded in death by his wife, Margaret C. (Zugel) Briese; parents, Paul A. and Frieda Briese; one sister, Eileen McDermott; three brothers, Harold, Donald and Clayton Briese. Born in Joliet, a lifelong resident. Owner of Briese Florist. WWII Army Veteran. Member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, American Legion Post #1080, Cantigny Post #367 V.F.W. past State Commander of the American Legion and was on the Joliet Park District Board for many years. Graveside Services will be held Friday, August 17, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 4-7 p.m at the Blackburn-Giegrich-Sonntag Funeral Home.
