Man Charged with Stalking His Ex, Police Say

Lennie Williams also faces a theft charge for stealing his ex-girlfriend's cell phone during a confrontation at Hollywood Casino, police said.

A Joliet man who allegedly confronted his ex-girlfriend at Hollywood Casino Tuesday and stole her cell phone was charged with stalking and theft, Joliet Police Cmdr. Al Roechner said. Lennie A. Williams, 34, was arrested early Tuesday morning after getting into a fight with the 22-year-old woman, with whom he as a son, and then fleeing the casino when security guards attempted to intervene, Roechner said. The woman took out an order of protection against Williams in April after she observed him following her and stopping in front of her house, Roechner said. Former Joliet Man Busted for Child Porn

Joliet police say Marco Lujano, who now lives in Bolingbrook, was downloading and sharing photos and videos featuring children.

A former Joliet man who allegedly used his computer to download and exchange pornographic videos and photos of children was arrested Monday, Joliet police said. Marco Lujano, 25, of 108 Delmar Drive, Bolingbrook, was booked on three counts of aggravated child pornography and one count of child pornograpy stemming from an investigation that began with information obtained by the Will County State's Attorney's Office, Joliet Lt. Brian Dupuis said. Evidence showed that Lujano was using a computer at his then-Joliet home in the 7700 block of Boxwood Lane to access photos and videos featuring underage children and to share files with others, Dupuis said. Arrest Made in Mail Carrier Robbery Case

Joliet police say an artist's sketch based on the mailman's description led to the arrest of 20-year-old Dimitri Knight.

A 20-year-old Joliet man is in custody, charged by Joliet police with the May 9 robbery of a postal carrier in the St. Pat's neighborhood. Dimitri Knight, of 462 Water St., was arrested at about 2:15 p.m. Monday at the Chicago home of his girlfriend and charged with aggravated robbery, Joliet Police Cmdr. Al Roechner said. The victim, who was robbed of an iPhone and $13 while delivering mail in the 0 to 100 block of North Cagwin Avenue on May 9, gave police a detailed description of the suspect who said he was armed with a knife, Roechner said.  From there, the U.S. Postal Service and the police jointly produced a sketch of the suspect that they showed to people in the neighborhood, he said. I-80 Crash Started with Joliet Purse-Snatching, Auto Theft, Police Say

Matthew Boban was arrested on several charges stemming from the Saturday crime spree, including driving under the influence of drugs, Illinois State Police said.

A Joliet man who stole a woman's purse and then fled in a stolen car, only to crash into a semi on Interstate 80, was arrested Saturday on a slew of charges, including driving under the influence of drugs, Illinois State Police said. Matthew J. Boban, 32, of 521 Mack, was charged after being treated at Silver Cross Medical Center in New Lenox for injuries suffered during the crash. The incident began shortly after noon Saturday when Boban allegedly snagged a woman's purse while in the parking lot of a Joliet Jewel-Osco store at 1401 W. Jefferson St. and then fled in a car taken from a friend, state police said. There was a second person in the car, but it's not known if it was the car's owner. Woman Leaves Infant, Toddler in Car, Police Say

The children were left while Pamela Jackson shopped at Jewel-Osco, reports said.

A Joliet woman who left an infant and a 3-year-old child in her car while she went grocery shopping was charged with leaving a child unattended in a motor vehicle by Joliet police. It was the third such arrest in as many weeks. In the most recent case, police were notified of the situation Thursday night by an employee of the Jewel-Osco store at 1401 W. Jefferson St., who spotted the children by themselves in the vehicle, Cmdr. Al Roechner said. Officers waited for Pamela R. Jackson, 53, 2219½ W. Jefferson St., to return to the locked vehicle and issued her a compliance ticket. Anderson told them that she had run into the store to purchase a few items, Roechner said.
