Kathleen Savio sent a letter to Elizabeth Fragale, who was an assistant in the Will County State's Attorney's Office. The letter detailed the abuse Savio claimed Peterson subjected her to and included the chilling prediction: "He knows how to manipulate the system, and his next step is to take my children away. Or kill me instead." Fragale testified she did not recall this letter.
