Milano Bakery is an Italian-style bakery that operates a retail shop in conjunction with providing wholesale products to all of Will and its surrounding counties. It was founded by Mario DeBenedetti, with family recipes he brought over when he emigrated from Italy. Retail customers can choose from more than 50 bread and roll varieties, as well as cakes, pastries, pies, cookies, donuts, danishes, strudels, coffee cakes and fruit tarts. Wholesale customers include most of the largest grocery store chains in Chicago, as well as area restaurants with a need for custom bakery products. Fresh-brewed coffee and cappuccino also are available.
