Lyric Singer to Peform 'European Odyssey' Sunday at USF

Annie Picard, who has performed with Lyric Opera of Chicago, Opera Theatre Saint Louis and elsewhere, takes the stage at 3 p.m.

Soprano Annie Picard, who has sung with Lyric Opera of Chicago, Opera Theatre Saint Louis and Illinois Opera Theatre, will perform with pianist George Ténégal Sunday at the University of St. Francis in Joliet.

The concert, part of the Music at Moser series, will be at 3 p.m. in the Sexton Auditorium, 500 Wilcox St.

The performance is entitled “A European Odyssey of Song,” and will include music by Schubert, Rachmaninoff, Liszt, Poulenc and Walton.

Picard is a soloist, chamber musician and voice teacher who has performed around the country for more than two decades. Her recent engagements include Schubertiade, a Liszt Lieder recital on Live from WFMT, Fourth Presbyterian Concert Series, the Lasallian Lounge Concert Series and Make Music Now 2013 (on the first-ever WFMT broadcast from the Logan Arts Center).

Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for alumni, students and seniors. Advance purchase is strongly recommended.
