The Ramadan Impact on Khalifa (part three of three)

We have a common origin. We all have a common family.  We are all created from a single seed.  From that seed we spread throughout this expansive creation. We are told in al-Qur'an that we are all descendants of our Father, Adam

We tend to think of the spreading throughout creation in terms of geography and physical movement, a physical migration from one geographical location to another.

There is a seed for thinking, a seed for thought.  That is the seed that is cultivated in developing the mind.  That is what man is.  Man is mind. It is a seed put into the earth.  The physical body, which is earth, is the earth that the mind is put in.  Man is an unseen entity.  We are formed physically in the wombs of our mothers.  Then life was breathed into us.  So we were formed "physically", but you cannot see life.  Man is not the physical body.  Man is the life in the physical body.

That seed that is planted in the earth in the womb, is to be cultivated.  Anyone who has done any farming or gardening knows that to cultivate a seed often requires instruments sharp enough to cut the weeds down from around it.

As we have all been created from a single seed and we spread about we take on various perceptions, habits, and characteristics.  As we spread throughout this creation, we take divergent paths, and Man strives for diverse objectives.  But, no matter how much we spread and no matter how far we go from that original form, the original essence of that single seed that we come from, the existence of all of us, is traced back to Adam.  Because Adam is our common Father, we are all family.  Adam is the leader.

We are one family and this earth is the home in which we live.

Spiritually, also, we are family.  Abraham is recognized and respected by all as the Father of the Prophets.

We are descendants of the spiritual advancement, the spiritual elevation, the spiritual enlightenment of Abraham.  All of us who share that enlightenment are family.

I just wanted to lay out the foundation that we can all understand that we are all family, as I discuss one of our Brothers.  Prophet Moses.

Our Brother, Moses was traveling with his family.  To appreciate the guidance in this lets look beyond the typical concept of traditional nuclear family of wife, children.  Rather, let’s think of the spiritual family of the cosmic humanity, the universality of humanity.  As Moses was travelling with his family he saw a fire and told his family that he would bring them information from it.

Fire, like everything else in creation, has a dual nature.  That is why al-Rabb tells us that when good befalls us it is from Him; but, when bad befalls us, it is from our own hands.  Fire provides benefits for us when we approach it with intelligence and respecting its nature.  But if we approach it foolishly and disrespectfully, we find great harm from the fire.

One of the many benefits of fire is its use to make steel.  Of items made with steel are swords which are used for war.  And, we have been advised by our Prophet to sharpen our swords before going to battle.

Ramadan is about fire.  Ramadan is about sharpening your sword.  For Ramadan is about war. Ramadan is Jihad.

Do not be influenced by the western media as it seeks to portray jihad as a negative.  The western media seeks to associate jihad as comparable to the Christian Crusader practice of holy wars of indiscriminate murder.   And they have even created terms such as “jihadist” and “islamist” and try to convince us that Islam has been hijacked.

The English word ending “ist” connotes a negative.   That is what they try to portray al-Islam as.  There is no such thing as a Jihadist or an islamist and al-Islam cannot be hijacked.

Ramadan presents the perfect example of jihad.  Ramadan throws the individual into fierce battles with “Self”.  For these battles the individual needs a well-made well sharpened sword; because we will never face a foe as fierce as our “Self”.  Remember, Iblis is our jinn that got out of control.  And now we are locked in a vicious war with it as it refuses to accept our authority over it.

The worst forms of persecution imposed upon us are not from the diabolic governments that play with human nature to set its self-up as tyrants over the lives of the people.  The worst form of persecution is inflicted on us from our own self.  And persecution is worse than slaughter.

As a descendant of a people who has suffered severe persecution from everyone.  My African family sold me into slavery.  My Arab family sold me into slavery.  My European family tried to dehumanize me—but for all of that, the worst persecution I have ever and will ever suffer is the persecution I inflict upon my own self.

When we suppress the growth of our human excellence we are persecuting it.  We persecute our human excellence with wrong thinking.  When we feed our human excellence delusional perceptions, impose oppressive habits and decadent characteristics on it, we are persecuting ourselves.

The wrong thinking that breeds the suppression of our human excellence is grafted by this word oppressive society. We use the words injected into us to design our perceptions that dictate our habits and form our character, because what you think is what you do and what you do is what you are.

I say to my Family, “Words Make People”; and the words from an oppressive word society makes “oppressed” people.

Man is a mind and a mind is nothing but a body of knowledge and words compose knowledge and a word is anything that transmits a message through any of the five senses.  And those messages, those words, are what make you what you are because your thoughts become your actions and your actions become your habits and your habits become your character and your character becomes your life—and your life is your world.

Ramadan allows you the sharp sword and blazing fire that you may shred and burn the oppressive world and REMAKE THE WORLD.  When you understand Ramadan beyond the aspect of abstaining from food water and sex during the daylight hours, then you can understand that Ramadan is the fire that our Brother Moses saw and went to get information from to bring back to his family.

The narration of Prophet Moses is a narration of rebirth.  As we follow the events and experiences of Moses development we see that a new person was being made in the old body.  A new life was forming in the old body.  Moses was retrained, taught the power of his potential and how to use it.

Ramadan is about rebirth.  For when we are born our mother carries us in her womb for nine months.  Ramadan not only means fire/heat and to sharpen, it also is the 9th month from which we come out of as a new born.

Ramadan allows us to learn to use the power instilled in us just as we see in the example of our Brother, Moses.  Ramadan makes one that being that G’d told the angel to bow down to.  Ramadan is the training for Khalifa.
