Joliet singer/songwriter Ted Slowik, who worked alongside Joliet Patch reporter Joe Hosey at The Herald News, has written a song about Hosey's rights as a journalist.
"Support Joe Hosey" was uploaded to YouTube Oct. 21. The song clocks in at just 2:24 yet manages to summarize how Will County Judge Gerald Kinney has found Hosey in contempt for refusing to reveal the source of his reports about a double-murder in Joliet.
"Support Joe Hosey or justice will fail. Don't send reporters to jail," is the chorus of the song.
Slowik also wrote a blog post in support of Hosey. Visit TedSlowikMusic.com to learn more about the Joliet singer/songwriter.
