Indie artists Jack Be Nimble, Ted Slowik perform Oct. 19 at Lewis University

Lewis University's Heritage Theatre Company presents a concert Oct. 19 with indie pop rock band Jack Be Nimble and special guest Ted Slowik.

The concert is at 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, in the new Studio Theatre in the Oremus Fine Arts Center at Lewis University, 1 University Parkway, Romeoville. Tickets are $10; call 815-836-5500.

Jack Be Nimble is a Chicago-based band comprised of Sean Biltgen and three 2012 Lewis University alumni: Mike Friar, Doug Chibe and Kevin Forney. The band's "Something To Dance To" EP was released in July, and in August they reached No. 1 on PureVolume.com with more than 8,000 downloads.

Opening act is Ted Slowik, a Joliet-based singer/songwriter and 1987 Lewis alumnus. Slowik performs original acoustic Americana music, and his debut EP "Comfort Zone" is due for release this fall. Visit www.tedslowikmusic.com to learn more.
