Taste of Joliet Features Food, Music, Fun

REO Speedwagon, Josh Turner and Little Big Town are the main stage acts, but there is also plenty of other entertainment -- including carnival rides -- on tap.

More than 20 food vendors, carnival rides and three headlining musical acts are among the highlights of this weekend's Taste of Joliet.

"We try to keep it as local as we can," said Brad Staab, Joliet Park District superintendent of communication, of the food vendors featured at the event, which runs noon to midnight Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Stadium at 3000 W. Jefferson.

REO Speedwagon will be the music headliner at 9 p.m. Friday, with Josh Turner taking the main stage at 9 p.m. Saturday and Little Big Town at 5 p.m. Sunday. This year, the park district added an option to purchase VIP tickets for closer proximity to the stage and sold them out weeks ago.
