Time to Vote for the Joliet Athlete of the Year

Help us select the top Joliet high school sports athlete for 2011-12. Do you go with a football all-stater? A three-sport dynamo? Or a cross country runner who blazed new trails?

Patch is a place to celebrate local high school athletes. Show your support for these prep sports MVPs—each of whom is Athlete of the Year in his or her sport—by cheering them on in the comments thread, sharing your own photos with the Patch community and voting in the poll.

Do you think we're missing someone? Tell us in the comments and share his or her photo to the gallery above. (It's easy. Just click the Upload Photos and Videos link — .)

My apologies -- our computer format, for some unknown reason, has gone to Eastern time. There remains 15 minutes to vote in the poll. The results will go up later tonight. May, if I don't hear from you, I will add your vote for Rachelle.

Matt Koran. Just on paper he is deserving. Add the extracurriculars, and it's a lock.

Matt Koran, Hi Ron, Simply the best student athlete I have seen come through West and work with in my time here. Great character and work ethic! B. Rucka
