Keselowski Snags Geico 400 Victory

The third-generation driver beat Jimmie Johnson by just 3.1 seconds in the Sunday race at Chicagoland Speedway.

Brad Keselowski surged ahead of Jimmie Johnson Sunday to win the Geico 400 by 3.1 second at Joliet's Chicagoland Speedway.

It also put Keselowski in first place for the Chase for the Sprint Cup series, with nine races left to go, according to a story in the Chicago Tribune.

"It feels like Round 1 of a heavyweight title bout," Keselowski said, according to the paper. "We might have won a round, but we didn't knock them out. We have a lot of racing to go."

Keselowski, 28, is a third-generation racer, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, the story said.
