Joliet West Cheerleaders Take Fourth at State

The varsity squad competed at the IHSA state competition over the weekend.

The Joliet West High School varsity cheerleading team took fourth place at the IHSA competitive state cheerleading competition this weekend.  The team had the highest score in JWHS history, missing third place by just .22, and hitting 7 deduction free routines in a row this season.

One hundred teams competed in the Feb. 7 event.

“This was an unforgettable experience that could not have happened to a more deserving group,” said Amy DiForti, JWHS Varsity Cheerleading Coach.  “They put in 100% effort this year and continued to work together as one unit to achieve every goal that we set.  I am so incredibly proud of them.”
