Will County Judge Joseph Polito says he watched pornography via his computer during work hours, and is now seeking help to stop his behavior, a story in the Chicago Sun-Times says.
Polito made the confession in documents he filed with the Illinois Courts Commission in the wake of a Sun-Times report four months ago that his computer had been used repeatedly to view porn sites. Charges have been filed against him by the Illinois Judicial Inquiry Board.
Polito admitted viewing pornography before and after court calls, and even though he was aware there was a county policy against viewing such materials on county computers, the story said.
Polito's attorney, in the documents filed with the commission, said Polito “has been treated by two licensed professionals on a regular basis and has participated in two separate support groups,” the story said.
