Sorry, Tom: Checking out Joliet With Foursquare 4 U

Running a town the size of must be very time-consuming.

The mayor has to go to all those meetings, and there are so many decisions to make.

And maybe that's why Mayor Tom Giarrante's not even the mayor of his own barbershop. Not on Foursquare anyway.

You heard right — Mayor Giarrante is not the mayor of Giarrantes Barber Shop. That honor belongs to none other than Cam H. of Chicago, who checked in from the barbershop three times in the last 60 days.

Now, we made an effort to reach out to Cam H. We sent a friend request and everything. But just like with not so long ago, it looks like we got blown off.

Oh well. We were really hoping to be Foursquare friends with Cam H. But since that's apparently not going to happen, let's take a closer look at the mayor of Mayor Giarrante's barbershop.

According to his Foursquare page, Cam H. is a fan of the Travel Channel program No Reservations, and he had this to say about the McDonald's on Cass Street:

"One of the worst service ever!!!!!!!!!!!!"

That's a lot of exclamation points.

At any rate, congratulations to you, Cam H., on your successful mayoral bid. And to everyone else, check back next week to see who else is a mayor somewhere in Joliet. Maybe we'll even see who's the mayor of City Hall.
