Protest Planned For Rauner Speech

Protesters are expected outside gubernatorial candidate Bruce Rauner's speech to the Joliet Chamber of Commerce today.

The Illinois Freedom PAC announced in a release that they are protesting "job-killing record."

"As Bruce Rauner arrives in Joliet to speak with members of the Chamber of Commerce Friday, everyday residents will be protesting Rauner’s business record," the release said. "Rauner directed multiple companies that shipped U.S. jobs overseas and companies financed by Rauner’s firm are also responsible for thousands of job losses, including workers in Illinois whose jobs were sacrificed."

Rauner is expected to speak at the Jacob Henry Mansion Estate, 15 S. Richard Street in Joliet.
