Watch Video of Joliet Police Taking Down Alleged Heroin Dealer

A reporter for CBS 2 in Chicago road along with a Joliet police task force when they busted Edward Peterson last week for allegedly selling drugs.

A CBS 2 televised report on heroin use in the suburbs, which has reportedly gone up 200 percent, featured a Joliet police narcotics unit making a bust on a man who allegedly sold an undercover officer 1.5 grams of heroin.

The report aired Thursday night on Channel 2/WBBM-TV and focused on both the victims of heroin and those selling it, such as Edward Devon Peterson, 32, of 261 Ross, Joliet, who was arrested and charged with two counts of controlled substance trafficking and one count each of manufacture/delivery of 30 to 500 grams of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The report showed video of Peterson being arrested and interviewed an undercover Joliet officer who said, "I think a lot of our society is unaware of our heroin epidemic. And the fact that one time can kill you is devastating.”
