Wanted Teen Lies About Name, Still Gets Arrested on Robbery Charge

The Crest Hill teen was jailed on a 2013 robbery charge.

A wanted Crest Hill teen tried putting one over on the cops by lying about his name but couldn't pull it off and was jailed on a robbery charge.

Herbert Hugger, 18, was arrested in Bicentennial Park shortly after 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Hugger was with three others in the park when Joliet police arrived and questioned the group. Hugger persisted in giving the officers a fake name for a while, police said, then eventually identified himself.

It turned out Hugger was wanted for a 2013 robbery. He was jailed for that case and on a charge of obstructing identification.
