Two Woman Working as Prostitutes at Super 8: Police

Both had advertised their services on backpage.com and agreed to sex for money with undercover police officers, Joliet Police Capt. Tab Jensen said.

Two out-of-town women were arrested early Friday morning for working as prostitutes at a hotel near Louis Joliet Mall, Joliet Police Capt. Tab Jensen said.

Undercover police officers, responding to an ad posted on backpage.com, arranged to meet Mina Haynes-Granado, 19, of Rock Island, and Olivyah Timberlin, 20, of Auburn, Ind., at the Super 8 motel at 3401 Mall Loop Drive, Jensen said.

When they met, the women agreed to provide sex in exchange for money and were arrested, he said.

Both were charged with prostitution. Haynes-Granado was also arrested on a parole violation. She remains held in the Will County jail; Timberlin was released on a recognizance bond.
