2 Joliet Women Nabbed in Aurora Prostitution Sting

Police officers posing as customers answered Internet ads for sexual services, according to the Aurora Police Department.

Two Joliet women were arrested for prositution following a two-day sting in Aurora that targeted Internet sites that advertise sexual services, according to the Aurora Police Department.

Kandace L. Morales, 25, of the 400 block of Harwood Avenue, and Samantha R. Lang, 26, of the 3200 block of Pandora Avenue, were charged with prostitution in arrests that resulted from a special operations investigation conducted May 8 and 9.

Also arrested on prostitution and other charges were four women and one man from Chicago, Urbana, Hinsdale and Aurora. Three men from Naperville, Oswego and Mongomery were arrested and charged with solicitation of a sex act, police said.

The male suspects were arrested after they came to an Aurora residence referenced in an Internet ad and offered an undercover female officer money in exchange for sex, police said.

The prostitution suspects were taken into custody after undercover officers answered their ads, arranged to meet and then made a deal in which sex would be exchanged for money, police said.

Aurora police also seized six vehicles during the operation and $943 in cash.
