A Joliet man walking in the Cathedral Area at about 6:40 p.m. Tuesday was robbed of his wallet by two teens, police said.
The 49-year-old victim was in the area of Taylor and William streets when he was approached by the pair, who asked him where he lived, Joliet Police Cmdr. Rich Demick said.
When he declined to answer, one of the teens told him he had a gun and demanded that he hand over his wallet, which he did, Demick said. They then fled on foot, he said.
No gun was actually displayed, and there was no information available on the contents of the wallet or how much the victim might have lost, Demick said.
The suspects are described as being black, standing about 5-foot-7 and weighing about 140 pounds.
