Stabbed in the Back: Joliet Cops Say Woman Stuck Boyfriend During Fight Over Ride to Court

A woman was jailed for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend.

A woman allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in the back after refusing to drive him to court Monday morning.

Marcedes Flakes, 24, of Gary Indiana was charged with aggravated battery and battery in connection with the 8:30 a.m. incident at a residence on Joliet's Fairmont Avenue.

Flakes's 25-year-old boyfriend had asked her for a ride to court and she declined, police said. The two set to arguing and Flakes reportedly started cutting up his clothes with a knife. Then she moved on to cutting up the boyfriend with a knife, police said, sticking it in his back.

The boyfriend was taken to the hospital and Flakes was transported to the Will County jail.
