Update: Police Chief to Release More Info on Double Murder This Afternoon

Joliet Police Chief Mike Trafton has not released the names of the victims because families are still being notified; more details should be available this afternoon.

Update/Noon Friday: Joliet Police Chief Michael Trafton will be holding a press conference at 3:30 p.m. today to answer questions about the ongoing double-murder investigation. Check back this afternoon for more details.

Update/9 a.m. Friday: Police Chief Michael Trafton announced this morning that the victims' names will not be publicly revealed until their families are notified. Suspects are in custody, he said in a short written comment, but he did not provide any details on if they have been charged or circumstances surrounding their deaths.

Update/11 p.m.: Will County Coroner Patrick O'Neil confirms two unidentified men were found dead inside the house in what he termed a double homicide. Victims were declared dead at 8:30 p.m. Autopsies will be conducted Friday.

Joliet police are on the scene of what is being reported as a possible homicide at 1121 N. Hickory St., near the intersection of Ingalls Avenue and Broadway Street.

Police Chief Mike Trafton was at the house, but would not discuss the situation.
