'Non-Student' Found Dead in Lewis Dorm

Few details were available about the victim other than his or her body was found in the Fitzpatrick Hall.

The Romeoville Police Department and the Will County Coroner's Office are investigating the death of a "non-student" who was found deceased Sunday in Lewis University's Fitzpatrick Hall.

No details on the death or the person's identity were avaiable Sunday night. The information was made public by the Romeoville-based Catholic University via its Facebook page. Employees were also notified via email Sunday night.

"The authorities report there was not and is no current threat to campus," the statement said.

The campus remains open and all classes and activities will go on as scheduled, the release said.

"The Lewis University community expresses its prayerful sympathy to all who are touched by this tragedy, especially family and friends," the Facebook statement said.
