Man's Body Recovered from River: Police

The identity of the victim has not been released, but it's possible it could be a man who was reported missing last month, Joliet police said.

The body of a man was pulled from the Des Plaines River near McDonough Street Friday afternoon, Joliet police said.

Although the victim's identity was not released, it's possible he could be a Joliet man reported missing late last month, according to a story in the Joliet Herald News.

The man was spotted by someone crossing the bridge at about 12:40 p.m., and Joliet firefighter wearing an immersion suit recovered the body, the story said.
