Man Hit by Dump Truck on I-55: State Police

The victim was changing a tire near the U.S. 30 exit when the accident occurred; no information on his condition is available.

A man changing a tire on the shoulder of southbound Interstate 55, near Joliet's U.S. 30 exit, was struck by a dump truck this morning, according to the Illinois State Police.

The victim, whose identity was not released, was transported to Presence St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. His condition is not known, Sgt. Scott Angus said.

No information on the truck driver, including his identity or whether he was ticketed or arrested, is yet available, Angus said. More details should be available later.

Sad-this is why I tell my wife to be so careful when she's changing the tire on the car when we are out and get a flat.

Maybe some new manhole lids with rubber rings to stop all the flooding of peoples houses,AndRead More actually climb down in the manhole and see if it is leaking instead of paying all of these people in Joliet getting flooded out by YOUR SANITARY System. Some paint being scrapped off the City Hall Hand Rails that will cut ya up.
