Man Could Be Paralyzed from Shooting: Report

The Joliet man was shot in the neck by an unknown assailant, and was flown to Loyola University Medical Center for treatment.

A Joliet man may be paralyzed after being shot in the neck at a gas station early Saturday morning, Joliet police said.

The 31-year-old man was taken to Presence St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet shortly after the 3 a.m. attack in the 300 block of Chicago Street and was later flown by helicopter to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, according to a story in the Joliet Herald News.

The assailant was on foot and no motive for the attack is known, police told the newspaper.

Illinois seems to already have concealed carry. Just not for honest citizens.

That will change by June 9th... Federal appeals court gave the IL legislators 180 days to come up with a valid concealed carry law... it was a minor stay of their judgement to give them some time... if they don't follow the order, IL becomes a constitutional carry state. No permit needed. You will still need your FOID (to be contested at a later date too I'm sure).

Maybe some new manhole lids with rubber rings to stop all the flooding of peoples houses,AndRead More actually climb down in the manhole and see if it is leaking instead of paying all of these people in Joliet getting flooded out by YOUR SANITARY System. Some paint being scrapped off the City Hall Hand Rails that will cut ya up.
