A 19-year-old Joliet woman was arrested Monday, nearly a month after she allegedly menaced another teen with a box cutter at her boyfriend's home, Joliet police said.

Malikha Mills, of the 3200 block of Prairie, was arrested on a Will County warrant stemming from a June 20 incident at a home in the 1400 block of Fairmont, police said.

Capt. Tab Jensen said the victim told police she was at her boyfriend's home when Mills showed up and entered the home without permission. Mills allegedly went upstairs and began kicking a door, trying to get to the victim.

Jensen said the victim's 19-year-old boyfriend and his mother told Mills to leave. The boyfriend then tried to forcefully bring Mills downstairs, but was scratched on the face, police said.

At one point, the victim said she saw Mills running back up the stairs with a box cutter in her hand. Police said Mills threatened the 18-year-old girl with the box cutter.

Ultimately, Mills left the home, and the boyfriend received only minor injuries to his face, according to police. He reportedly treatment for his injuries.

Mills is charged with aggravated assault and remains in custody at the Will County jail on $10,000 bond, according to jail records.
