Joliet Teen Wounds 1 in Gun Attack While Out on Bond For Earlier Shooting: Cops

The teen allegedly shot a youth the day after he pleaded guilty to another gun attack.

A Joliet teen shot another young man the day after he pleaded guilty to shooting at someone else, police sad.

Dillon Adair, 18, of1623 Cleveland Ave. was most recently jailed on charges of aggravated battery with a firearm and aggravated discharge of a firearm.

Adair shot another 18-year-old about 7 p.m. on North Herkimer Street near Jackson Street, police said. The wounded man survived and police obtained a warrant for Adair's arrest May 2.

Officers learned Adair was at the Buffalo Wild Wings on Brook Forest Avenue in Shorewood Saturday night and took him into custody there.

Adair's earlier shooting arrest followed a July gun attack on State Street. Adair shot up a house and was captured a short time later at his own home. He posted $50,000 bond and was freed from the county jail two days after he was locked up.

For that shooting, Adair was charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a gang member, possession of a firearm without an owner's identification card and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.

The day before he allegedly shot the teen on Herkimer, Adair pleaded guilty to aggravated discharge of a firearm in exchange for the dismissal of the other three felonies.

Adair was to be sentenced June 13.
