Joliet Shooter Got Teen's Middle Finger With Bullet: Cops
The police tracked down the alleged gunman within an hour of the shooting.

The cops tracked down a teenage gunman within an hour of his hitting another teen's middle finger with a bullet, police said.
Detrion Anderson, 18, of 222 Anderson Ave. was charged with aggravated battery with a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon by a street gang member, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and possession of a stolen firearm in connection with the 5:20 p.m. Monday gun attack near the corner of Jasper and Des Plaines streets.
A 15-year-old was walking along Jasper when a silver Dodge van with tinted windows pulled up on him. A van door opened and a man fired on the teen, hitting him in the middle finger.
Tactical officers located the van and pulled it over on Sterling Avenue about 6:15 p.m. Anderson and four others—two 20-year-olds, a 16-year-old and an 18-year-old—were taken into custody.
The wounded teenager identified Anderson as the shooter, police said. Three of the others were released from custody but one of the 20-year-olds, Sterling Barnett of 1102 Campbell St., turned out to be wanted on a Will County warrant charging him with failing to appear in court for an unlawful use of a weapon case.
Both Anderson and Barnett were booked into the county jail.
