Joliet Man Gets 75 Years for Robbing, Shooting Friends

Jason Orasco and three other went into the Channahon apartment of two friends, whom they tied up, robbed and shot in the head.

Assuming he serves his complete sentence, 27-year-old Jason Orasco won't be seeing the outside of a prison until he's well into his 90s, his punishment for shooting two friends in the head in a robbery nearly three years ago.

Orasco, of , was one of four people who carried out the early morning break-in in which Lauren Vasilakis, then 19, and her boyfriend, Joshua Terdic, 21, were robbed, tied up and shot.

Terdic died, but Vasilakis survived and was in the Tuesday when Circuit Judge Amy Bertani-Tomczak gave Orasco was given 50 years for murder and a consecutive sentence of 25 years for aggravated battery with a firearm, a story in the Joliet Herald-News said.
