Sheriff's police said man attacked the victim, who was at his house to buy marijuana.

A Joliet man is charged with criminal sexual assault and battery after allegedly attacking a woman who came to his house to buy marijuana, Will County Sheriff's police said.

Parnell Samuels, 51, of 106 Anderson Ave., was arrested Thursday evening and was due in court Friday afternoon.

Will County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Kathy Hoffmeyer said the 26-year-old victim, a Joliet resident, told police she went to Samuels' home at about 4 p.m. Thursday.

During the transaction, Samuels allegedly jumped on her, tore her clothes off and had intercourse with her, Hoffmeyer said.

The victim went to a local hospital for treatment following the alleged assault, police said.

Samuels was also treated and released after going to the hospital with injuries to his genitals, police said. Hoffmeyer said the injuries were inflicted by the victim.
