Joliet Man Charged With Bed Frame Beating

A Joliet man was jailed on charges he beat another man with a metal bed frame.

A Joliet man beat another Joliet man into unconsciousness with a metal bed frame Thursday morning, police said.

Steven McIntosh, 52, of 420 N. Hickory St. allegedly attacked a 55-year-old man with the metal bed frame about 5:30 a.m.

McIntosh beat the other man in a residence on Sheridan Street, police said.

McIntosh was arrested and carted off to the county jail. He was booked into custody on a charge of aggravated battery.

The beaten man was taken to an area hospital and treated for a head wound, police said. He was reportedly expected to recover.

Prior to the alleged beating, the two men argued "for an unknown reason," police said.
