A Joliet man beat another Joliet man into unconsciousness with a metal bed frame Thursday morning, police said.
Steven McIntosh, 52, of 420 N. Hickory St. allegedly attacked a 55-year-old man with the metal bed frame about 5:30 a.m.
McIntosh beat the other man in a residence on Sheridan Street, police said.
McIntosh was arrested and carted off to the county jail. He was booked into custody on a charge of aggravated battery.
The beaten man was taken to an area hospital and treated for a head wound, police said. He was reportedly expected to recover.
Prior to the alleged beating, the two men argued "for an unknown reason," police said.
