Joliet Police Chief Mike Trafton has issued the following press release on the Jason Hagerstrom arrest:
"Hagerstrom committed the listed offenses over a ten to twelve year period. These offenses involved a juvenile victim. Due to the sensitive nature of these offenses and to protect the victim, no victim information will be released. The investigation is ongoing and much work still needs to be completed, further charges are expected to be filed. The Will County States Attorney's Office has been an active partner in the investigation, aiding the Joliet Police Department in search warrants and approval of charges."

A 35-year-old Joliet man was booked into the Will County jail Saturday night on a long list of felony child porn and sexual assault charges.
Jason D. Hagerstrom, of 1226 N. Raynor Ave., is being held on two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault, eight counts of criminal sexual assault/force, five counts of aggravated child pornography/possession of film, and two counts of domestic battery/physical contact.
Predatory criminal sexual assault, according to the Illinois state statute, can be charged if evidence shows the victim was under the age of 13 and the suspect over the age of 17.
All of the counts of felonies other than the domestic battery charges, which are misdemeanors.
No other details on the case are yet available. A Joliet Police Department lieutenant overseeing the watch commander's desk Sunday said a press release would be forthcoming, possibly Monday. A call to Police Chief Mike Trafton has not yet been returned.
Hagerstrom was booked at about 10 p.m. Saturday. His bond will be set at a Monday afternoon court hearing.
