Joliet Township Man Accused of Shooting Roommate: Police

Barry Conley accused of shooting another man in the shoulder during a fight.

A 60-year-old man is accused of shooting his roommate Saturday morning in Joliet Township.

Barry Conley, 60, of the 700 block of Osage Street is charged with aggravated domestic battery and aggravated discharge of a firearm, both felonies, after the incident.

The 50-year-old victim suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder, and was taken to Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, according to the Herald-News. He is expected to survive, police said.

Will County Sheriff's Police responded to the men's home shortly after 7 a.m., according to the newspaper. The gun allegedly used in the shooting, along with other firearms, were removed from the residence.

Conley is scheduled to appear in Will County court on Monday afternoon.
