Joliet Fire Department to Conduct Training Near Plainfield South High School
Expect smoke, flames near Plainfield South High School on certain dates in May and June.
The Joliet Fire Department is scheduled to conduct live training evolutions at the southeast corner of Caton Farm and Ridge roads on May 13-15 and 28, as well as June 12.
The intersection is located near Plainfield South High School, 7800 Caton Farm Road.
“I want to be certain that citizens are aware of this live training for traffic reasons and to dispel any fears that might arise due to smoke and flames at 7800 W. Caton Farm Road on those dates," Battalion Chief Brian Plyer said in a statement issued Monday by the City of Joliet.
Plainfield South is in Plainfield School District 202; the tentative last day of school is May 30.
