Joliet Blotter: DUI, Domestic Battery, Using a Cell Phone While Drivng

March 13

Jamal Jason Jackson, 30, was arrested by Joliet police and booked into the Will County jail on a charge of domestic battery, police said.

Carluis D. Maethis, 44, of the 900 block of Raynor, Joliet, was arrested by Joliet police and booked into the Will County jail on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, according to jail records.

Melody M. Matthews, 23, of the 500 block of Briggs Street, Joliet, was arrested by Will County Sheriff's police and booked into the Will County jail on charges of illegal use of an electronic communication device, driving a vehicle with expired registration, driving on a suspended license and driving an uninsured vehicle, police said.

Kelsie R. Mengel, 24, of the 300 block of Park, Joliet, was arrested by Joliet police and booked into the Will County jail on a charge of domestic battery, police said.

March 14

Antonio Lopez, 55, of the 500 block of Elwood, Joliet, was arrested by Will County Sheriff's police and booked into the Will County jail on charges of aggravated DUI, driving on a suspended license and improper traffic lane use, police said.
