Joliet 13-Year-Old Pulls BB Gun On Other 13-Year-Old in Drug Deal Ripoff: Cops

One 13-year-old took money from another 13-year-old to buy him some pot but instead robbed him at BB gunpoint, police said.

A Joliet 13-year-old gave another 13-year-old money to buy him marijuana but was instead presented with the business end of a BB gun and robbed of the rest of his cash, police said.

The waylaid teen was taken to the police department's west side substation by his mother to report the alleged robbery. When he got there, he reportedly told an officer how he was smoking marijuana near the Sable Ridge subdivision clubhouse about 11:15 a.m. Sunday.

While he was smoking, he gave money to the other teen so he could buy him more marijuana.

The second teen left with the money and when he returned brandished what looked like a gun, police said. He then allegedly demanded and received the rest of the first teen's cash.

The Joliet police arrested the second teen at his home Wednesday afternoon. He was booked into a juvenile detention center.

The weapon allegedly used in the robbery turned out to be a BB gun, police said.
