Injury Crash at I-80 and U.S. 30 Causing Big Delays
Few details are currently available on the Joliet-area crash, which involved a semi truck and a pickup truck, the state police said.
An injury accident in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 at the U.S. 30 exit is causing major traffic delays, according to the Illinois State Police.
The crash between a semi truck and a pickup truck occurred at about 1:20 p.m., Sgt. Scott Angus said. No information on the cause of the collision or the extent of the injuries is currently available, he said.
At least one eastbound lane of traffic is open, but gapers are causing congestion in the westbound lanes, Angus said. Drivers are urged to find alternate routes.
