‘I Only Ride With No One, My Gun & My Lonesome,’ Says Joliet Rapper Charged With Riding With Gun & Other Guy

Deondray "Drakey" Hall was supposed to play a show in Ottawa over Memorial Day weekend but was instead stuck in the Will County jail.

Joliet rapper Deondray "Drakey" Hall boasts in his song "No Lie" about riding with no one but his gun.

"I only ride with no one, my gun and my lonesome," says Hall, who also goes by "Star Money."

Hall did happen to have a gun with him when he was riding along near the corner of Boulder and Washington Street last week, police said, but against his own advice there was another guy in the car as well.

Both Hall, 23, and the other man, Stephen Hayes, also 23, ended up going to the Will County jail on charges of unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, possession of a stolen firearm and possession of cannabis. Hall was also hit with a charge of possession of a firearm by a street gang member, and caught even more cases when he allegedly tried to slip out of the squad car carrying him to the police station.

Two nights after he was taken into custody, Hall was supposed to perform the Memorial Day Bash at Club Luciana's in Ottawa. He was locked up and missed the show.

In the same song "No Lie," Hall raps about "doing time at 18," which seems to be the case, as jail records have him getting locked up at that age in 2009 on charges of felony escape, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and resisting or obstructing a peace officer.

Hall just got out of prison in January. He was paroled after doing time on drug, burglary and weapons convictions.

But even with his criminal record and a new set of felonies, Hayes should not be worried about his buddy flipping on him, at least going by the way Hall mocks snitches  in "No Lie."

"I'm only this age I can't have a f---ing felon—I'm facing six to 30, f-- that, I'm tellin'," Hall says in disdain.
