'I Dated a Serial Killer!' Alleged Murderer's Ex Posts on Facebook

Ivon Walsh told a judge in 2009 that her former boyfriend branded a swastika and upside down cross into her buttocks, burned and cut her body, and threatened to disembowel her and strangle her young daughter with her intestines.

Nearly four years later, when that boyfriend was charged with choking two men to death, Walsh went on Facebook and boasted about her romantic connection with an alleged double murderer.

"I dated a serial killer!!!!!!" wrote Walsh, 26, of Plainfield, on Jan. 12.

"It could have been me years ago," Walsh said, apparently in reference to the two Joliet men killed last week, allegedly by Walsh's ex-boyfriend, 24-year-old Joshua Miner, and three others.

Miner, along with Alisa Massaro, 18, Adam Landerman, 19 and Bethany McKee, 18, have been jailed since Friday on charges of first-degree murder. They allegedly strangled Terrance Rankins and Eric Glover, both 22, as part of a deranged robbery plot.

Massaro and McKee allegedly lured Rankins and Glover to Massaro's North Hickory Street home. Once there, police said, the two men were strangled and left dead in the house with plastic bags over their heads.

After the killings, Massaro, McKee, Miner and Landerman "continued the party atmosphere" in the Hickory Street house, said Joliet Police Chief Mike Trafton.

Officers investigating a tip that there were two dead bodies in Massaro's house found the corpses and also came upon Massaro, Miner and Landerman playing video games near the strangled men, police said.

McKee had already taken off for Kankakee but police in that town reportedly caught her driving with a small child in the back of her car. Kankakee Police Chief Larry Regnier said the Joliet police contacted his department about the double murder and told them McKee was headed their way. They apprehended her just after she drove into town, Regnier said. He wasn't sure what she was doing there.

"We don't know what the connection is" to Kankakee, Regnier said. The child was turned over to McKee's parents, he said.

In the aftermath of the brutal killings, Walsh—whose page says she works at Walmart and is a former employee of the defunct Romeoville strip club Crazy Rock—seems to have expected such a diabolical act from her former boyfriend.

"I used to date joshua miner!!! I'm not surpised!" she wrote on her Facebook page, including a link to a Patch story about the murders in her post.

Walsh may have seen it coming in light of the vicious abuse she accused Miner of when she petitioned for a protective order against him in April 2009.

Besides branding, burning, cutting and threatening her, Walsh wrote in her petition that she had three miscarriages and that Miner beat her.

Miner "has also strip(ped) me down naked in front of his friend and punched me in the stomach," Walsh wrote.

A judge denied Walsh's petition.

Walsh also came up in a 2005 criminal indictment charging Miner with child pornography. Miner allegedly made a video recording of Walsh, then known as Ivon Gurrola, as she "placed her tongue in the vagina" of an underage girl in October 2005. Miner was convicted of misdemeanor unauthorized videotaping and sentenced to a year of conditional discharge.

"You know how to pick em," teased one of Walsh's Facebook friends, apparently oblivious to the Plainfield woman's belief that her family survived a brush with death.

"I was so shocked he called my sister the day b4 and asked to stop by," Walsh wrote, "that could have been my family dead real s--- man."
