He's lucky to be alive. Fentanyl is 80X-100X stronger than morphine and its SO strong that the dosage is measured in MICROgrams rather than MILLIgrams. Injecting cocaine in addition to Fentanyl would certainly complicate things for his heart. I assume he is a hardcore, daily IV drug user, which is why I find it puzzling that nobody involved in his admission or treatment noticed ANY "track marks".

I was a phlebotomist for 20yrs. You wouldn't believe the places people shoot up. They will find every nook & cranny on their body also in alot of unseen or not so noticable areas. I am not sorry for saying this but alot of the drug problems out there are physicians prescribing these meds when they darn well know what people do with it. They use it, get addicted, sell it and these docs are in it for the money, especially all these so called pain clinics. How can this not be noticed & something done? I think it's a government conspiracy to make money & ruin society. Just like prescribing xanax, vicodin etc., My god! How did my era of people survive without all these meds to function in life. This day & age really blows! It makes me sick!

Prohibition has not worked in the country nor will it ever,FACT: people are going to use things that make them feel better! sometimes even that means hospital, jail or death. Some of us dont produce dopemine or whatever makes us feel good naturally so they do drugs to feel better. Heck i think were all somewhat bi-polar, Let them do what they need to do and when there sick and tired of being sick and tired they will seek a new way of life or DIE....but if we as a sociaty look down our noses at a drug addict and go home and drink two pots of coffee then crack the cork on a new bottle of wine while we smoke a pack of cigs, tisk, tisk to you!

Ok George, but I feel great just living. I get pleasure when my home is clean or knowing my kids are healthy. I also have guilty pleasures like eating big macs, my large coca cola (thank God I don't live in NY) watching honey boo boo and not answering the phone.
george September 24, 2012 at 08:34 PM

Jerry September 24, 2012 at 08:53 PM
