Update: Villarreal Case Dismissed

The case against Eric Villarreal has been dropped, Will County Assistant Public Defender Kristen Wyss said.

Update: The charge pending against Eric Villarreal has been dismissed, according to Will County Assistant Public Defender Kristen Wyss.

Original story:

A Joliet man who hit, choked and kicked his girlfriend because she would not share her prescription pain medication with him has been arrested for aggravated domestic battery, Joliet police said.

Eric Villarreal, 26, 2552 E. Clark, Diamond, was taken into custody shortly after his girlfriend reported his alleged abuse, Cmdr. Rich Demick said.

The woman said Villarreal, with whom she has a child, came to her home in the 6200 block of Brunswick early Wednesday morning and started a fight in which he accused her of having sex with a female friend, Demick said.

He eventually went to bed, but awoke Wednesday to start fighting with her again, she told police. The situation became violent when the girlfriend refused to give him her hydrocodone pills, Demick said.

After he beat her, he fled the house and the woman called police, he said. The girlfriend gave officers an address for a house where she thought Villarreal might go, and they were able to arrest him up there, he said.

The woman did not need medical treatment, but police did take photos of her injuries as evidence, Demick said.

Villarreal is being held in the Will County jail in lieu of $7,500 bond.

Taking hydrocodone alters your personality..I had surgeries to my knee.i know first hand how they alter your personality especially if you are trying to quit taking them..do not even have to be addicted to them and you go through withdraws.....but I also know a guy that takes 15 to 20 at a time....and gets them legally from the Dr...but it is the narcotic that does it..the rest is Tylenol....5,7.5,10 is narcotic when you see that on the bottle, then you see 325,350,750,1000 that's Tylenol....pretty much....and the narcotic in Hydrocodone is synthetic Opium....and will make you have a bad bad temper..or get cold, flu symptoms if you try to quit....I had 9surgeries all together but only took pain pills for the first 2..I went through 7surgeries with no pain medication..I made them disconnect the morphine pump...because it is the same you get bad temper and withdraws..

Some people that take hydrocodone get tired and groggy, but some people like me when I take or took them I should say...I got a speed buzz...like I could jump out of my own body and just take off ..lmao...but they are very addictive....

What a jackoff! He accused her of having sex with a female friend... Guess you don't have the stick to satisfy her huh Eric??? I think he needs to be slapped around a little bit...Maybe punch and kick him a few times... Looks like a real tough guy... Hopefully this chick has enough sense to stay away from him...

The police were not called that morning, which is why its so ironic they went to that place. What kind of website is this that they give away such personal information? In which some facts may not be true?

Alina -- Everything we publish comes directly from the police. What you see here are the details as told to me by police Cmdr. Rich Demick. He was very specific that the police responded to just one call, and that was at 9:45 a.m. Jan. 9. When I asked what provoked the fight and what happened leading up to the suspect's arrest, this is the account he gave me. Please remember that any accusations made during the fight may or may not be true. If they were false and the victim disputed them, that could have triggered the suspect's alleged angry reaction.

Hey Glasgow..Here is something to investigate and possibly use....the makers of OxyContin are being sued by the state of Kentucky..they sued once in 2007 for reimbursement of "Law enforcement, court costs, criminal housing,...they are being sued again by Kentucky this time because the makers put out a brand called OxyCodone and said it is supposedly less addictive..Kentucky does not agree due to all of the arrests due to OxyCodone....This might be a route to get money back for all of the arrests, law enforcement instead of Joliet citizens being taxed to death...

I am eric villarreal this story is a complete fabrication and exaggeration to the story the painkillers we were fighting over were MY PAINKILLERS I have four degenerated discs in my back 3 with lateral tares I put 10 of my pills in her bottle because last winter I lost an entire script somewhere my fiance christina fontana and I both plan to have this removed or I will sue the person who wrote this false article for slandering.....she was black out drunk the night before and was practically beating her own ass! She gave me 5 out of the ten pills THAT AGAIN WERE MINE and I left to avoid further conflict the joliet dummies come to her house for a "welfare check" and she said "yes he did it" out of anger not knowing I would spend 7 days in jail and almost dying in the will county adult detention facility because of the inhumaine treatment me and others got which me and the others plan to file civil suits against a few c.o's there like I said my fiance and I read this and both flipped out because this was a COMPLETE exaggeration of what REALLY happened and like I said before I want this post taken down or whoever wrote this will be sued for slandering or for defermation of character

Maybe some new manhole lids with rubber rings to stop all the flooding of peoples houses,AndRead More actually climb down in the manhole and see if it is leaking instead of paying all of these people in Joliet getting flooded out by YOUR SANITARY System. Some paint being scrapped off the City Hall Hand Rails that will cut ya up.
