DUI Driver Caught Doing 118 On I-55 Near Channahon: Police

Nathaniel Stainck was stopped just before entering a construction zone, according to state police.

A Dwight man faces charges after allegedly driving more than 40 miles per hour over the speed limit during a drunken drive on I-55, state police said.

Nathaniel F. Stainck, 25, was stopped by a trooper on I-55 south of Blodgett Road, just before entering a construction zone, police said.

According to Illinois State Police, Stainck was driving 118 mph.

Stainck was charged with DUI, driving more than 40 mph over the limit, disobeying a traffic-control device and failure to carry a driver's license, police said.
