Drunken Joliet Man Hits Car, Flees, Hits Motorcycle, Flees Again & Gets Arrested at Home: Cops

A man knocked from a motorcycle in one of the two crashes was injured and taken to the hospital.

A drunken Joliet man fleeing a crash hit a motorcycle and fled again, police said.

But despite all of Sean Maccani's alleged fleeing, he was ultimately captured at his 3735 Jonathan Simpson Drive home.

Maccani, 25, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident in connection with the Sunday evening crashes near the intersection of Essington Road and Glenwood Avenue.

Maccani rear-ended a car as he was heading north on Essington, police said. He took off but soon after rear-ended a motorcycle, police said, knocking the driver to the ground.

The man on the motorcycle was taken to Presence St. Joseph Medical Center but his injuries proved not to be serious, police said.

Maccani drove away from the second crash as well, police said, but witnesses got his license plate number and passed it along to the law.
