Man Killed in 2-Crash Near Six-Corners Intersection

Victim Donald Cousin is believed to have driven through a stop sign and struck a vehicle headed south on Raynor Avenue, Joliet Police Chief Brian Benton said.

A Joliet man was killed Monday after going through a stop sign at Raynor Avenue and colliding with a second vehicle, Joliet Police Chief Brian Benton said.

Donald R. Cousin, 51, was declared dead at 4:22 p.m. at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, according to the Will County Coroner's Office.

The accident, which occurred shortly 4 p.m., is under investigation, Benton said, but early indications are victim failed to stop at Moran Street and struck a vehicle that was headed southbound on Raynor. The accident location is just north of the Six Corners intersection of Raynor Avenue, Plainfield Road/U.S. 30 and Black Road/Ruby Street.

The driver of the second vehicle sustained minor injuries, he said.
