Three men accused of sexually assaulting a Joliet woman with whom they were drinking have been arrested by the Aurora police.
The incident occurred in August when the three met the 25-year-old victim at a Naperville restaurant, according to a story in the Aurora Beacon News.
Police investigated for three months and this week arrested Corderro A. Pollard, 22, and Eric Stallworth Jr., 21, who were charged with criminal sexual assault for having sex with the woman, who was too intoxicated to consent, the story said.
Shammrie M. Brown, 25, was charged with sexual assault because he was present when the men were having sex with the victim and made no effort to stop it, the story said. The assault allegedly occurred at the Aurora home that Pollard and Stallworth shared.
Stallworth and Pollard were members of the Aurora University football team in 2011, but are not listed on the roster for 2012, the story said. Stallworth was arrested Tuesday on the Aurora campus.
In 2010, Brown was named the school’s Lincoln Academy of Illinois’ Student Laureate Award winner and served as president of the Black Student Association, the story said.
