Original post: 10:30 a.m. Sunday:

Cornerstone Services is seeking the public's help in finding a mentally disabled man who was last seen at 3 p.m. Thursday in downtown Joliet.

Michael Anderson, 56, is a slim-built African-American who stands about 6 feet tall. He was wearing a bright blue T-shirt, dark blue jeans and black-rim glasses on a cord.

He has health issues that require medication, which he has not been receiving since he's been missing, Cornerstone officials said.

Anderson works for Cornerstone during the day at its 134 E. Van Buren facility and lives at an Easter Seals group home at 811 Glenwood, Joliet police said in a bulletin on the missing man. He has an interest in trains and Chicago, and it's possible he took a Metra train to the city.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Joliet police at 815-724-3100, Easter Seals at 815-274-5412, Cornerstone at 815-545-8251 or the police department in your town.
