Cops: Ex-Con on Loose After Shooting 4

A man released from prison less than a year ago is wanted for allegedly shooting four people last week.

are hunting for an ex-con in connection with a June 18 shooting that wounded four.

Ian Warren, 29, of 900 Summit St., was the gunman behind a brutal ambush that left four bleeding out on Englewood Avenue, police said.

It was the second gun attack on Englewood in less than two weeks. One man, 29-year-old Donald Autman, was slain in the earlier shooting.

The police consider Warren to be armed and dangerous. Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to call the Joliet police at 815-724-3023 or Will County Crimestoppers at 1-800-323-6734.

Warren was released from prison on Sept. 30. According to Department of Corrections records, he did time for the manufacture or delivery of cannabis and cocaine, and for aggravated battery.

Warren is out on parole. He is 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds. He has a tattoo on his right arm of his first name and on his left arm has Chinese characters. He has "SMC" tattooed on his abdomen.
