Chicago Man Punched & Choked Joliet Gal Pal For Using Too Many Cell Minutes: Cops

The Chicago man was arrested when he returned to his girlfriend's Evergreen Terrace home, police said.

A Chicago man punched and choked his Joliet girlfriend for using too many cell phone minutes, police said.

Steven Annison, 23, of 6553 S. Eberhart Ave. was booked into the Will County jail on a charge of aggravated domestic battery in connection with the 9:30 p.m. Friday incident at his girlfriend's Evergreen Terrace home.

Annison and the young woman argued over her use of cell phone minutes, police said. She told him to leave her apartment, police said, he refused and then attacked her.

Annison eventually did leave and officers arrested him when he returned to the girlfriend's home, police said.
